Transforming Student Transfer in Higher Ed

There are many students who are interested in transferring from a community college to a university to get a bachelor’s degree, yet the complexities of the transfer process mean that very few students are able to accomplish this.  In Texas, only about a third of community college students make the move to a university and fewer still, only 16%, earn a bachelor’s degree within six years.

Now, a group of Dallas-area higher education institutions – Dallas College, Texas A&M University-Commerce, Texas Woman’s University and the University of North Texas at Dallas – have partnered to improve outcomes for transfer students.  Known as the Dallas Transfer Collaborative, the partners are working together to collectively simplify their transfer pathways and help more students transfer and complete bachelor’s degrees, on schedule and with reduced financial burden.

Our vision is a transfer-friendly ecosystem that is “friction-free” for students, and our aim is to make the transfer process as simple and easy to follow as possible.  We hope you join us in our mission to transform transfer!
